A little bit about Judith: Judith was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and lived as a child many exciting places including London, Pittsburgh, and New Jersey. She received a B.A. from Cornell University, a Ph.D. from UCLA (Joan Valentine), and her post-doctoral training at MIT (Stephen Lippard). She has been on the UW faculty since 1990. In addition to her role as head honcho and cheerleader for the group, Judith teaches General Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, and Bioinorganic Chemistry.  In her spare time, Judith enjoys spending time with her family, cross-country skiing, biking, and reading mysteries.  She maintains a long-standing connection to Woods Hole, MA where her interest in science was sparked at the Children’s School of Science. Her dream for retirement is to join the UW Hoofers Sailing Club and beat her son in a race!
