Research Description

Sin was born in Macau, China, and grew up in Madison, WI. She transferred to UW Madison in 2012 as a sophomore from Beloit College. She is a biochemistry major and plans to graduate in 2015. After graduation, Sin plans to attend Pharmacy School and become a pharmacist. She joined the group in Spring 2013 and her research mentor is Judy Hines. Sin's research project involves spectroscopic analysis of the DGCR8 heme binding domain by expressing cobalt protoporphyrin IX DGCR8.  Sin likes all things Japanese, especially the food, playing card games, and reading. In her free time, she volunteers with international exchange programs and UW Hospitals and Clinics.
